We are Rick and Maggie and we moved to our home in Wales with our family 33 years ago .Our house has never been connected to the Grid .
We set up Mair’s Bakehouse in 2006/7. It was named after our youngest daughter , Mair , who sadly passed away in 2009 . 
From 2008 – 2020 we sold our breads and pastries at local shops and markets and direct to households . 
When covid arrived we stopped baking and selling thinking it might be over quickly . how wrong we and many others were .
Our Website is now mainly a historical document of our Home and Bakery’s development and some of the things we learned on that journey . We hope some of the information found here will be useful to others.
Although we no longer bake for sale ( we are now 74 and 75 and semi retired ) Rick does occasionally fire
up our lovely oven and bakes some breads which often need a home to go too . If you would like either to keep him company firing the oven or moulding up some dough or offering a home for the breads please get in touch with your contact details on our contact page and we’ll let you know when we;re firing up .
